In Survival Mode, how do you get a Creeper Head?

In Survival mode, you can add a creeper head to your inventory by blowing up a creeper with a charged creeper. So, let’s get started!

1. Find a Creeper as well as a Charged Creeper.

You must first locate both a creeper and a charged creeper. You can use a game command to summon a creeper and another game command to summon a charged creeper if you’re having trouble finding these mobs. A spawn egg can also be used to spawn a creeper.

In this tutorial, we’ve found and charged a creeper, as well as fenced them in to prevent them from fleeing.

2. Set the Charged Creeper ablaze.

After that, you’ll need to light the charged creeper. To do so, go to your hot bar and select flint and steel. Then, with your pointer (plus sign) over the charged creeper, click. Ignite the creeper that has been charged

The game control for using flint and steel varies depending on Minecraft version:

  • Right-click on the charged creeper in the Java Edition (PC/Mac).
  • Tap on the charged creeper in Pocket Edition (PE).
  • Press the LT button on the Xbox controller for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
  • Press the L2 button on the PS controller for PS3 and PS4.
  • Press the ZL button on the gamepad on the Wii U.
  • Press the ZL button on the controller for Nintendo Switch.
  • Right-click on the charged creeper in Windows 10 Edition.
  • Right-click on the charged creeper for the Education Edition.
  • The charged creeper’s fuse should be lit, and it will soon explode.

 3. Pick up the Creeper Head

Both mobs will be dead after the charged creeper explodes, and the explosion will leave a hole. You should find a creeper head floating on the ground at the bottom of the hole, as the charged creeper killed the creeper. Be sure to grab the creeper head before it vanishes. A creeper head is a rare item that should be stored in your inventory for later use.
