How to Register for COVID Vaccine for 18+

In light of India’s bold decision to extend the inoculation programme in the midst of the pandemic’s second phase, vaccination registrations are anticipated to skyrocket.

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan used social media to encourage people to sign up for the vaccination campaign, which will begin on May 1.

CoWIN Vaccine Registration for Adults Over the Age of 18.

According to the official Aarogya Setu handle, appointments for those aged 18 to 44 will be dependent on slots made available by private vaccination centres as well as the state government.

Registration for the third phase of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, which will begin on May 1 for all adults over the age of 18, is scheduled to begin today on cowin.gov.in, Aarogya Setu App, and UMANG App.

The registration will open at 4 p.m., and appointments will be made at state government and private centres.

Where do you sign up?

Via the CoWin portal, all qualifying people may register and schedule an appointment. You can go to https://www.CoWin.gov.in/home for more information.

How do I sign up?

  • You’ll need to have a photo ID to register online.
  • Use your phone number to sign up.
  • One mobile phone number can be used to register up to four individuals, but each person would need their own photo ID.
  • Consent would be obtained and registered if the Aadhar card is used as an identity document.
  • Schedule your vaccine appointment for May 1st or later at a location of your choosing.

To register for the vaccine via Aarogya Setu

  • For registration, open the Arogya Setu app and then select the CoWin tab from the home screen.
  • Select ‘vaccination registration,’ then enter a phone number and a one-time password (OTP).
  • When you click verify, you’ll be taken to the registration page.
  • For further information please follow the steps written above.
  • On the day of the appointment, bring the appointment slip and photo ID you used to book the appointment to the centre.

What documentation would you require?

At the time of registration, any of the following IDs with a photo may be presented:

  • Aadhaar Card, Driver’s License, and Medical Insurance Smart Card issued under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act of the Ministry of Labour (MGNREGA) MPs, MLAs, and MLCs are given official identification cards.
  • Banks and Post Offices issue PAN Card Passbooks.
  • Employees of the Central/State Governments/Public Limited Companies receive a Passport Pension Document Service Identity Card.

The minimum age for each vaccination is also shown alongside the centre’s name.

How to Register for COVID-19 Vaccine Online

Registration is the first step in the vaccination process. Users can now register for the third step of the vaccination drive on the CoWIN website or the Aarogya Setu and UMANG apps. Users may look up vaccination clinics near them and sign up to be vaccinated with either Bharat Biotech’s indigenous Covaxin or Oxford-Covishield, AstraZeneca’s which is made in India by Serum Institute of India (SII).

  • Go to the CoWIN website and choose the choice for self-registration/sign-in.
  • To get an OTP, enter your phone number and send it. When you receive the OTP, enter it to check.
  • Four citizens will now be vaccinated at the same time. Now, fill in all of your details, including your name, gender, birth year, and photo ID evidence, and then click Register.
  • You will be given the option to schedule an appointment once you have registered. Select the choice of schedule next to the registered person’s name.
  • Insert your pin code, and the system will show all of the vaccination centres in the pin code region.
  • After that, you can choose the vaccination centre, date, and time, and then click to confirm. You will enrol yourself and others for the vaccine in this manner.

How to Register for CoWIN Vaccines Online if you’re Over 18 Years Old: Using Aarogya Setu

  • Click on the CoWIN tab in the Aarogya Setu window.
  • To obtain an OTP, choose the vaccine registration, enter your phone number, and apply.
  • Verify the OTP by inserting it. This will take you to the page where you can register for vaccinations.
  • To register on the CoWIN website, simply follow the steps outlined above.

Note: Everyone who gets vaccinated will require two shots: the second dose of Covaxin must be taken between 28 and 42 days after the first dose, and the second dose of Covishield vaccine must be taken between 28 and 56 days after the first dose.
